Welcome Party
WELCOME PARTY
We are delighted to invite conference delegates to a Welcome Party on the Tuesday evening, June 27th. This will be held at the Film Museum (Muzeum Kinematografii), a fascinating venue with a huge selection of cinema, film exhibits. This museum is located in the mid-nineteenth century small palace (residence) of Karol Scheibler, one of the most important Łódź industrialists of German origin, known as "The Cotton King" because of his wealth and the scale of his production.

We will visit Manufaktura - an old factory transformed into shopping and entertainment centre, Łódź Fabryczna railway station - the biggest and most modern railway station in Poland, Piotrkowska Street - the main artery of Łódź, and finally the EC1 Complex - a historical power plant revitalized to fulfil cultural and artistic functions..
